Correct form for entry in location field (moved from Google group)

I want to start using the location feature. For some images I'll have to make an entry in the location field for that image. What is the correct format for that location entry?

The location field is simple text. Comes from the EXIF subLocation in the image metadata. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1888257

Maybe you are thinking of Geo Location? That is not currently directly editable. It is fetched from the image metadata (either EXIF or XMP which ever is present.)

I saw the location field in the full image edit data and assumed that if I entered a location (latitude and longitude in some form) into that field then the Google Map plugin would show the location below the image. My camera does not support putting location in the EXIF data so I thought that this would be a way around that limitation.

Sorry, but that is not the designation for that field. But I have added the ability to set the Geo Location in my development build: https://github.com/sbillard/netPhotoGraphics-DEV
